in memory LaDonna Tamakawastewin Brave Bull Allard – official statement of Tokata-LPSG RheinMain e. V.

Tokata-LPSG Rhein, a German support group for Leonard Peltier and for native american youth-, culture- and human rights projects wants to express its condolence concerning the passing of LaDonna Brave Bull  Allard. We met her on the The Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) – Tour through Europe in 2017, when she was part of the delegation negotiating the divestment of European capital from pipeline projects like the DAPL.  We knew her as long life fighter for indigenous rights and dignity and for global social and ecologic justice. In this way LaDonna Tamakawastewin Brave Bull Allard was an important pioneer to bring different issues like environmental, social and human rights aspects together and include them in indigenous, national as well in global discussions. And in this way we remember her as an ambassador of indigenous concerns, as an engaged fighter for human rights, as a protector and defender of Mother Earth and an important idol for the Lakota Youth believable representing the Lakota values. LaDonna Tamakawastewin Brave Bull Allard – you was a standing rock in Standing Rock and Your footprints would be there forever. Have a save journey to the spirit world, toksha ake, Mike.
