Hinter uns liegen nun mehrere Monate gemeinsamer Aktionen für Leonard Peltier. Im Februar 2022 gab es europaweit Aktionen anlässlich des beginnenden 47. Haftjahres für Leonard Peltier. Unter dem folgenden Link findet ihr nochmals unsere kleine Doku hierzu:
Im März waren die Aktionen hier in Deutschland vor allem stark eingebunden in den landesweiten Aktionen zum Internationalen Tag der politischen Gefangenen (18. März). Im April fanden neben den regelmäßigen Mahnwachen in verschiedenen deutschen Städten zusätzlich Aktionen im Rahmen der Ostermarsch-Kampagne statt. Und Anfang Mai, am Gedenktag für vermisste und ermordete indigene Mädchen und Frauen (MMIW), gab es neben den monatlichenMahnwachen eine zusätzliche Aktion. Überhaupt sind viele der Aktivitäten hier in Europa mittlerweile verbunden mit anderen sozialen Bewegungen und Themen, dies trägt dazu bei, den Namen und das Schicksal Peltiers immer mehr Menschen bekannt zu machen. Gleiches gilt auch für andere indigene Angelegenheiten, wie Pipeline Proteste, missed and murdered indigenous girls and women, die mörderischen Verbrechen an indigenen Kindern in Internatsschulen usw. Anbei eine kleine Galerie zu den Aktionen, versehen mit dem Versprechen: wir werden niemals aufgeben für Leonard Peltiers Freiheit zui kämpfen.

In March, the actions here in Germany were strongly integrated into the nationwide actions for the International Day of Political Prisoners (18 March). In April, in addition to the regular vigils in various German cities, actions took place as part of the Easter March campaign. And at the beginning of May, on the day of remembrance for missing and murdered indigenous girls and women (MMIW), there was an additional action in addition to the monthly vigils. In general, many of the activities here in Europe are now linked to other social movements and issues, which contributes to making the name and fate of Peltier known to more and more people. The same is true for other indigenous issues, such as pipeline protests, missed and murdered indigenous girls and women, the murderous crimes against indigenous children in residential schools, etc. Attached is a small gallery of the actions, with the promise: we will never give up fighting for Leonard Peltier’s freedom.
