I am very concerned about the safety and health of Mr. Leonard Peltier, #89637-132, an inmate at the U.S. Penitentiary in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. I have been informed that Mr. Peltier has been removed from the general population at the USP Lewisburg and thrown in the “hole” (solitary confinement). Given his age (66 years) and his bad health this could be a threat to his life. I urgently ask you to comply with your responsibility to safeguard Leonard Peltier while he is in government custody and to return him to the general prison population immediately.
