Native American Activists brought their Solidarity Adress to the Climate Protectors in Germany – Solidarische Grüße aus dem indigenen Amerika an die Aktivist*innen vom Hambi und Ende Gelände (german/english)

Am Freitag, den 26.10.2018 besuchten nachmittags indigene Unterstützer*innen die Camps von Hambi in Manheim und Ende Gelände in Düren. Abends dann fand eine gutbesuchte Soliveranstaltung im Hambi-Camp Manheim statt. Initiiert von Tokata-LPSG RheinMain mit großartiger Unterstützung vom Handi – Camp und dem Ende Gelände Camp sowie regionalen als auch österreichischen Unterstützer*innen (danke euch allen), berichtete der Choctaw und American Indian Movement- Aktivist Jimbo Simmons u.a. von den Aktionen gegen die Dakota Access Oil Pipeline bei Standing Rock und die Minneconjou-Lakota Jean Roach( Int. Leonard Peltier Support Group – ILPDC)) zu dem indianischen politischen Gefangenen Leonard Peltier.  Beide drückten dabei immer wieder ihre Solidarität mit den Aktionen vor Ort aus und stellten diese in einen globalen Kontext von Befreiungskämpfen, die auch dem Schutz der Natur gelten. Michael Koch von Tokata-LPSG RheinMain und Mitautor des Buches “Ein Leben für die Freiheit”  las aus diesem Buch das bewegende Grußwort Peltiers an die deutschsprachigen Leser*innen vor und rundete dies mit zwei Songs ab, u.a. einen aktuellen Soli-Song für die Protectors of Mother Earth “Living in the Woods”. Anschließend traten die HipHop-Musiker Nataanii Means, Tufawon aka Rafael Gonzalez und DJ Michel Bee auf und sorgten trotz strömenden Regens für die Campbesucher bezogen auf  die bevorstehenden Aktionen für beste Stimmung.

Anschließend gab es dann auch im Ende Gelände Camp bei Düren noch einen nächtlichen Auftritt, der allen Aktivist*innen viel Power vermitteln sollte. Die drei HipHop-Musiker*innen nahmen auch am Samstag, den 27.10. als musikalisch-politische Unterstützer an den Aktionen teil, während Jean Roach und Jimbo Simmons nach Paris weiterreisten. Die Aktion vom 26.10. kann als weiteres Beispiel der politischen Netzwerkarbeit von Tokata-LPSG RheinMain gesehen werden, unterschiedliche soziale und sozialrevolutionäre Bewegungen erfolgreich miteinander in Kontakt und in solidarische gemeinsame Aktionen zu bringen. Für die Zukunft wird es immer wichtiger sein, unterschiedliche Bewegungen wie Umweltbewegung, Menschenrechtler, antikapitalistische und antitotalitäre Kräfte zu connecten. In diesem Sinne solidarische Grüße an alle Aktivist*innen vor Ort, die mit ihren Aktionen einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Klimaschutz leisten. Jeder Baum, der nicht gerodet wurde, jeder Kohletransport und Bagger der gestoppt und jeder Zentner Kohle, der nicht abgebaut wurde sind für die Zukunft dieses Planeten wichtig. Vor diesem global relevanten Hintergrund sind die Aktionstage und auch subversive Aktionen  mehr als legitim. Fight on.

On afternoon Friday, Oct. 26th a Delegation of Native Americans visits the Hambach Forest Camp as well the Ende Gelände Camp in Düren, Germany. At the same evening there was at Hambach Forest Camp in Manheim an political-cultural Event. That this event could be possible was the result of a great cooperation between the German Peltier and Indigenous Support Group “Tokata-LPSG RheinMain”, the activists of the Hambach Forest Camp in Manheim , the Ende Gelände Camp in Düren and some regional and as well Austrian supporters. (thanks to all) Jimbo Simmons, Choctaw, American Indian Movement and also Standing Rock activist was Talking about his experiences at Standing Rock and the fight for protecting the water. Jean Roach, Minneconjou-Lakota and board member of the ILPDC (Int. Leonard Peltier Defense Committee) talked about Peltiers case and th protector camp in 1975 down in Pine Ridge Reservation. Both expressed again and again their solidarity with the protectors of Hambach Forest and the campaigns at the area and set them in context with global Liberation activities, for example to protect the nature. Michael Kocj from Tokata-LPSG RheinMain reads some parts from his book “One Life for Freedom”, especially the Opening words Peltiers to the Germanspeaking Readers of this book.  Koch framed this with two of his Songs, one song dedicated to all protectors of Mother Earth, titled “Living in the Woods” Fianlly the native HipHop-Musicans Nataanii Means, Tufwano and DJ Michel Bee performed and empowered the People in the camp for the following struggles, even it rained very hardt.

After this they went zo the Ende Gelände Camp 13 miles away, close to Düren for a 30 minutes night concert. Also the three HipHop-Musicans took part on Saturday activities, when Jean and Jimbo were travelling back to Paris. The whole solidarity Action could be seen as a successful Networking part of Tokata-LPSG RheinMain, to bring different social and social revolutionary movements together: environmenatl and human Rights movements, anti capitalistic and antitotalitarian movements. In this way we are greeting all activists at the Hambach Forest area. With their activities they do a lot to save the Climate. Every not clear cutted tree, every stopped coal Train and digging mashine and every ton of not mined coal is important for our Climate. In this context we welcome all  activities even subversive ones. Fight on.
