Samstag, 19.10.2019: Konzert mit Spendenaktion für Jugendprojekt in der Pine Ridge Reservation (german/english)

Wenn am Samstag, den 19.10.2019 im Offenbacher KJK Sandgasse 26 die Band COVER To COVER AUFTRITT, wird dies für Freunde von Rock-, Beat- und Blues-Oldies nicht nur ein Hör- und Tanzvergnügen sein. Die Band um Manfred Häder – guit. (Häder BÄND, früher Frankfurt City Blues Band u.v.a.), Konny Künkel – bass und Moni Blum – drums wird im zweiten Set bei 7 Songs verstärkt durch Tokata-LPSG-Mitgründer Michael “Doc Longhair” Koch. Er wird vor allem bei Titeln von John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, J.J. Cale und Stefen Stills den Gesangspart übernehmen.

Auch bei diesem Konzert wird wieder für Jugendmusikprojekte gesammelt. Schwerpunkt der Sammlung ist ein Jugend-Selbstmord-Präventions-Projekt in Pine Ridge. Dieses Projekt unterstützt unser Verein bereits seit 2017 durch Geld- aber auch Musikinstrumentespenden. Die Spenden sollen möglichst an drei Projekte gehen: BEAR CAVE Teenager Suicide Prevention/Pine Ridge Reservation 60%, John Lee Hooker Foundation (Jugendmusikprojekte für Kids aus den black communities) 20%, offRock (Jugendmusikprojekt im Raum Offenbach) 20%. Also kommen, hören, tanzen und dabei Gutes tun.

Concert for Youth Music Projects: The Band COVER TO COVER with special guest Mike Doc Longhair Koch, founding member of the German Leonard Peltier ´Support Group, give a concert on Saturday, Oct. 19th in Offenbach am Main, Germany. During the concert Mike ask for some donations to support important youth work projects, for example the BEAR CAVE (Teenage Suicide Prevention in Pine Ridge Reservation), the John Lee Hooker Found. (San Francisco, for kids of the black communities) and offRock in Germany (music for social handcaped kids) . So come and have fun, listen, dance – enjoy the music and do something good. Mike is performing at the second set with own songs and also songs of Jimi Hendrix, John Mayall, Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac, J.J. Cale and Stefen Stills. For more details click on the link.
