Seit Jahrzehnten setzen sich Prominente für die Freiheit Leonard Peltiers öffentlich ein. Hier eine Übersicht ohne Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit. Leider konnten selbst solch prominente Fürbitter bislang die us-amerikanische Justiz und Politik nicht dazu bewegen Peltier aus der Haft zu entlassen.
